CanGo (formerly SafeMotos) is an award-winning tech enterprise with operations in Kigali, Rwanda and Kinshasa, DRC on a mission to increase the safety of African roads while providing more convenient and cost effective transportation. CanGo is an online motorcycle taxi platform that connects customers to safe rides via the company’s mobile application. From data collected on drivers’ smartphones, CanGo assigns each driver a safety score (drivers must maintain the minimum score of 90/100 to remain on the platform).

As part of its BCtA commitment, the company aims to engage 1,200 drivers in the CanGo by 2019, at the same time increasing opportunities for female drivers and decreasing the likelihood of driver road accidents by factor of 10. CanGo drivers earn 15% more per ride than the market fare, receive safety training and are integrated in CanGo's digital payment system. CanGo is the first digital ride-sharing model in the BCtA platform portfolio.
