Inclusive innovation journey intern

Eshan's responsibilities at BCtA include support in implementing the Inclusive Innovation Journey program that facilitates the replication and adaptation of global innovation processes, as well as assistance in creating criteria for identifying inclusive businesses for Asian Development Bank.

Holding seven years of diverse on-ground experience in India’s development sector, Eshan has worked with numerous organizations in more than 15 states and 200 villages of India. Creating strategic plans, tools, and services for different social entrepreneurs to increase their scale, quality, and sustainability of social impact, his skills are attuned towards solving the complexities of various social organizations working on the livelihood, poverty, youth development, inequality, education, and agriculture sectors.

For three years, Eshan has been immersed in the daily life of people from villages that have no access to electricity, communication networks, potable water, and medical facilities. This experience has sensitized him to the daily systemic challenges faced by vulnerable communities, urging him to design sustainable and mindful solutions for them.

Eshan’s career trajectory leans towards working in the development sector. He has contributed to many projects of NITI Aayog, the policy think-tank of the Government of India. He has developed extensive grassroots experience in the development sector, acquiring a lot of practical and field knowledge. To gain a holistic perspective of development, he is currently pursuing his Master’s in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Sussex.
