How Does a Cloud Phone Work?
What is it: Movirtu’s innovative “cloud phone” technology works like a Webmail account providing users with secure and private access to messages and information from any mobile phone.
How it works: When users buy a Cloud Phone (branded locally) number at a local mobile shop or from a village phone operator, they set up a PIN code to access their mobile identity. Once they have this information they can log in and out of anyone’s phone, and the user’s personal information and records are stored in the telecom cloud rather than on the phone, ensuring that calls, texts, messages and other communications are kept private. Users can top up their own mobile credit on the phone, and whenever a user borrows a phone, the lender automatically receives a credit for lending.
